This past Sunday, I climbed another munro (Meall nan Tarmachan, near the much more impressive Ben Lawers, up in Perthshire). I spent most of my time convinced I was going to pass out and/or lose my footing and fall to my death or, equally tragically, sprain an ankle or a finger. One of the highlights, though, was when my friend pulled out her emergency shelter bag and used it to sled down the ridge. I imagine this is against all kinds of safety advisements, but that’s entirely beside the point.
